M.O.N Art Foundation empowers visual artists to explore visions of deep time. Our mission is to work across disciplines to investigate the ecological, technological, social, and spiritual forces shaping the present. Through site-responsive exhibitions, residencies, public conversations and research, we strive to bring art into dialogue with architecture, landscape, science and mythology beyond the traditional framework of gallery exhibitions, offering visions of humanity’s place within cultural history, planetary ecology, and cosmic time.

Past initiatives include the Emerging Bolivian Artist Award, developed in collaboration with the Embassy of Bolivia in London and supported by The Falcone Foundation, which provided an early-career artist with international exposure. Recent projects include CHRONOS at the 2024 Venice Biennale, staged at St. George's Anglican Church, and HYPEROBJECT at Fitzrovia Chapel, London (2025), a critically received solo exhibition by Maria Kreyn exploring myth, ecology, and the materiality of time. Together they signal the Foundation's commitment to platforming women artists at the vanguard of a surrealist revival — one that is reshaping both the critical conversation and the market.

The Foundation was established by Spanish–English curator Maria Vega. Known for a bold, site-responsive curatorial approach, Vega has activated historic and unconventional locations across Europe and Latin America as immersive platforms for contemporary art. Since founding Ministry of Nomads in 2008, she has developed a curatorial language rooted in research, material experimentation, and visionary imagination — an ethos that continues to shape the direction of MON Art Foundation.
